Scott Bumpus & Darryl Worley

Story & Photography by Chelsea-Cathrine Croom

Hitmakers and Harleys featuring country singer Darryl Worley was held at Bumpus Harley-Davidson on Tuesday, October 17. All proceeds from the event benefitted the Darryl Worley Foundation. The West Tennessee native said “it’s always nice to get back and do events like this” in the place that feels like home. Also performing at the event was Jim “Moose” Brown, Erin Enderlin & Don Sampson.

Scott Bumpus, the owner of Bumpus Harley-Davidson, has been working with the Darryl Worley Foundation for about a decade, and, as a result, the event was another collaboration between him and Worley. The unique event was a fun way for many people in the community to get involved and help on a larger scale with the charitable organization’s ties to all of West Tennessee, Northern Mississippi and Alabama. Additionally, through the Darryl Worley Cancer Treatment Center, West Tennesseans battling cancer will also be helped.

The foundation also supports several national charities such as St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the American Cancer Society.
