After a one-year hiatus, the Crystal Ball came back bigger and better! Under the direction of Brenda Whalley and her committee, the Jackson Symphony League presented a fabulous event that included a Champagne Reception, Silent Auction, Wine Pull, Diamond Martinis, Dinner and Dancing to the sounds of Juliet and the Romeos. Highlighting the evening was the presentation of eleven Senior Ambassadors who have served the Symphony for the past four years.

Senior Ambassadors included JP Boyd, son of Jeff Boyd and Suzanne Boyd; Lauren Flack, daughter of Steven and Vanessa Flack; Catie Beth Hatch, daughter of Mike and Lisa Hatch; Caroline Haynes, daughter of Hayley Moore Haynes; Micah Haynes, daughter of William and Christian Haynes; Anna Katherine Horn, daughter of Steve and Kathy Horn; Sydney Kilburn, daughter of Kurt and Sherri Kilburn; Lauren Nicola, daughter of Nick and Robin Nicola; Gracen Rawdon, daughter of Chris and Heather Rawdon; Natalie Sullivan, daughter of Dr. Jason and Jamie Sullivan; and Katelyn Watlington, daughter of Jeff and Nikki Watlington.

The Crystal Ball is one of the largest fundraisers of the Jackson Symphony League and would not be possible without the support of sponsors including Voya Financial,Nordstar Medical,the City of Jackson, Regions Bank and Leaders Credit Union. Others who helped make this a special night to remember for all those who attended include Symphony Association board member Nancy Oberg and her committee for preparing the hors d’oeuvres for the champagne reception; Bob Frankland at The Barrel for being the bar sponsor; Mike and Troy of Elegant Events, who prepared the dinner; and the talented Kent Freeman, who transformed the Civic Center into an extraordinary setting for the nearly 400 guests.

The Jackson Symphony League, established in 1962, is an indispensable auxiliary to the Jackson Symphony. Membership is open to those interested in supporting the symphony and its endeavors. In addition to providing a range of services and fundraising support for the orchestra, League members also organize and sponsor the Color of Music, an art contest for grades K-8 across West Tennessee.
