Habitat for Humanity held its annual Dream Builders Gala on New Years Eve downtown at the New Southern Hotel. The Gala is becoming a tradition for many in Jackson as a way to have a great time ringing in the new year while supporting a wonderful cause. Guests enjoyed an evening with dinner, live music, games, a live auction and a champagne toast to the new year.

Habitat for Humanity has built 102 homes for families in Jackson since it began. The funds raised this year at the Dream Builders Gala exceeded their goal for the event. Each dollar raised goes toward the new construction program for first-time homeowners and the Aging in Place program, which helps senior homeowners with important repairs.
