The The 31st Annual Charity Gala for The Foundation was held on November 12 at the Carl Perkins Civic Center. Proceeds from this fundraiser are designated to the Ayers Children’s Medical Center and a new Hospice House.
Foundation President Frank McMeen was excited to introduce special community leaders at this event. Since the annual event was paused in 2020 and 2021 due to Covid, this year’s event leader, Greg Alexander, who is a Trustee at The Foundation, was determined to create a colorful and energetic vibe to relaunch one of Jackson’s most exclusive events.
Glammed-up botanicals were the focal point, and disco balls and neon lighting set a spectacular tone for this celebration. Caleb Minter and the Structure Band entertained the crowd after dinner and an awards presentation. The Silent Auction was a record-setting hit offering wine dinners, vacation getaways, shopping excursions and more.
The Charity Gala is the largest annual fundraising event for The Foundation and the 600-plus attendees were instrumental in raising an estimated $250,000. The West Tennessee Healthcare Foundation was created in 1985 to strengthen the health and well-being of our region. It acts as a catalyst supporting the philanthropic arm of West Tennessee Healthcare and providing financial support in the surrounding 19-county service area.
