Boots & Bowties

The University School of Jackson presented its third annual “Boots and Bowties” fundraiser on February 20th. The night featured musical talent by Jonathan Singleton and the Grove and dinner by Coyote Blues. While USJ is known throughout West Tennessee and beyond for its annual “Holiday Mart” fundraiser, Boots and Bowties is just as important, if somewhat smaller, in raising money to help the school meet its education standards.
Sponsored by West Tennessee ENT Dr. Karl Studtmann and Jones Family of Companies, Boots and Bowties included the chance to bid on unique auction items such as a fishing excursion in Costa Rica and tickets to a Grizzlies game.
“It’s our third year to host Boots and Bowties,” said Emily Richards, director of development for the University School of Jackson. “It’s grown in popularity each year, and this year we will only build on that. It’s an evening of food, music, auction items, and a lot of fun.”
