The only thing missing from this truly “Southern Charm” event was Rhett and Scarlet. One would not have been surprised to hear the phrase “Frankly my dear, I don’t give a damn!” but alas, all the guests were perfectly well mannered and proper!

The grand antebellum home of Caroline and Jeb Campbell was the ideal setting for this first Seriously Seersucker fundraiser. Held under the stars amongst the manicured gardens and meandering pathways, 270 of Jackson’s finest gathered to listen to the amazing New St. Luke’s Missionary Baptist Church choir and enjoy great food from the Old Country Store. The Casey Jones Barbershop Quartet and Scott Myatt and friends provided additional music throughout the evening.

The gracious ambience of the home was complimented by guests in Southern cocktail atttire highlighted with a heavy dose of seersucker.  Seersucker pants, ties, jackets and dresses set the tone of the evening.

Approximately $60,000 was raised to benefit the Kirkland Cancer Center, providing help for patients and their families for transportation costs to and from treatments, medications and other needs as they arise.
