Sports Hall of Fame 2022 Inductees

Tom Britt was the Master of Ceremonies with Ann Keyl, president of this year’s Sports Hall of Fame award ceremony. Along with the Hall of Fame awardees there was recognition of school athletes across Madison County. Next was the Billy Schriver Distinguished Service Award. There were nine $1,000 scholarship recipients for outstanding students.

The speaker for the night was Jerry Reese, a Tiptonville native who was a football star. From there he went to The University of Tennessee at Martin and his position coach was Mickey Marley 2012 Hall of Fame inductee. Reese coached at UT Martin under coach Don McLeary, who later coached at Oakland Raiders. In 1994, he became a scout for the New York Giants and later became the Vice President and General Manager from 2007-2017, where they won Superbowl 42 and 46.
