Dancing with the Stars

The 7th annual Dancing with the STARS presented by Leaders Credit Union was held at the Jackson Fairgrounds. Community members came to support the STAR Center as they work to “Crush the No” for individuals with disabilities. 

The Grand Champions this year were Jonathan Pounds and Marda Wallace, who performed a rendition of “Thriller.” The couple’s choreographer was Nicole Hewitt Hicks. Jonathan and Marda also took home the People’s Choice Award. 

John Payne and Erica King were the first runners-up, and Ashley Wilson and Allen Ervin were the second runners-up. The audience also enjoyed a special joint dance performance by Cayce Perkins, a client of the STAR Center, and Alexa Knutzen, Miss Volunteer America.
